Terms and Conditions – iMalta Boat Trips

Welcome to iMalta Boat Trips. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for using our website and booking any of our services, including private boat charters, self-drive rentals, jet ski activities, and watersports around Malta, Gozo, and Comino.

These terms and conditions govern your use of our website and participation in any service offered by iMalta Boat Trips (“we”, “our”, “iMBT”). By booking or using our site, you accept these terms in full.

1. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, logos, images, and media, is owned by iMalta Boat Trips or its licensors. You may view, download, and print content strictly for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

  • Republish, sell, rent, or sub-license website material
  • Reproduce or duplicate website content for commercial purposes
  • Modify or distribute any material without our written consent

2. Booking Terms

By booking with iMalta Boat Trips, you agree to our full range of service policies covering:

  • Private boat trips with skipper
  • Self-drive boat rentals
  • Jet ski rentals and safaris
  • Towable watersports
  • Subwing experiences

All boat tours and rentals include a mask, snorkel, and ice box. On our private boat charters, we visit Comino’s Blue Lagoon and Crystal Lagoon, anchoring in the bluest waters away from the crowds, allowing guests to swim directly off the boat

3. Payments, Refunds & Cancellations

Client Cancellations

  • Full refund for cancellations at least 24 hours in advance
  • No refund for cancellations made within 24 hours or for no-shows
  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email, WhatsApp, contact form)

Weather or Technical Conditions

  • If iMBT cancels due to weather or technical issues, a full refund or rescheduled booking will be offered
  • If a self-drive boat experiences technical problems, the full amount will be refunded or transferred to another date

4. Safety, Timing & Conduct

  • Clients must arrive at the departure location at least 5 minutes before departure.
  • For self-drive boat rentals, jet ski rentals, and Subwing, please arrive earlier to complete safety briefings and paperwork
  • Delays do not extend your reserved booking time

Prohibited Conduct

  • Alcohol and narcotics are strictly prohibited for anyone operating or riding on self-drive boats or jet skis
  • Guests showing signs of intoxication may be denied access without refund
  • The skipper/guide has full authority and may pause or cancel the activity for safety or misconduct

5. Legal Liability

Damage, Deposits & Responsibility

Liability – iMBT

  • Not liable for personal injuries, delays, loss of personal belongings, or weather-related changes
  • Not responsible for accidents caused by negligence or violation of safety instructions

Liability – Client

  • Clients are responsible for any damage to boats, jet skis, water sports equipment, or third-party property
  • All activities are at your own risk. Children remain under the responsibility of their guardians
  • A €500 cash security deposit is required for all self-drive boat rentals
  • This deposit is returned at the end of the trip if the boat is returned in the same condition

6. Special Offers & Discounts

  • Promotional codes or offers must be applied at the time of booking.
  • Discounts apply to base tour prices only – not extras.
  • Offers cannot be combined or applied retroactively.
  • Only valid on direct bookings with iMalta Boat Trips.

7. General Provisions

  • Smoking is allowed only on private boat charters.
  • Dogs are permitted on private charters but must remain seated or under benches and we need to be informed prior to booking.
  • The boats are not wheelchair accessible.
  • Guests should avoid wearing stiletto heels for safety reasons.
  • Clients must dispose of waste responsibly and protect the marine environment.

8. Complaints

If you encounter any issue during your trip, inform us immediately so we can find a solution. If unresolved, you may submit a written complaint within 14 days of the activity. Include a clear explanation of the issue for review.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Maltese law. Disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of Malta’s courts.
